Carrot Box

                                        HAPPY EASTER!

Today I am sharing some Carrot Boxes I made for my granddaughters. The Carrot Box pattern is available from My Scrap Chick. There is a pictorial tutorial that you will want to check out before you make your boxes. These boxes are good sized. The box itself is 9 inches tall and the whole box with greens is 15 inches tall. Plenty of room for lots of goodies!

I decorated my Carrot Boxes with the super cute bunnies from "Cute Little Bunnies" from KaDoodleBug Designs. The file can be found here: http://kadoodlebugdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=56&products_id=385
I put my bunnies together with foam tape to give them dimension. I added green bling around the bottom of the lids and raffia bows on top.

Hoppy Easter Easel Card

Hi! Today I am sharing an easel card I made by combining cut files with digi files.

Card Recipe

1. Digi image: Rory Bunny from Lacy Sunshine printed 6 inches tall on Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Cardstock. The image was colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. The finished image was hand cut leaving a 1/8 inch white border around the image

Color Palette

Face: FS2, TN2,PP1
Hair: EB1, EB2, BG3, BG5, BG6
Carrot: GB1, GB3, TN4, OR1, CG1, CG2, CG4
Pants: TB1, TB4, Blender

2. Cut files used: The card base is made from a scalloped circle easel pattern from My Scrap Chick. I stretched the circle into an oval measuring 6 1/4 inches. The base is cut from light blue cardstock, the background from a bunny glitter cardstock and the base for the sentiment from yellow glitter cardstock.

"Cute Little Bunnies" from KaDoodleBug Designs."The bunny is 3 1/4 inches tall. The pieces were cut out as usual, then traced on fleece and cut out. The fleece is glued to the regular pieces and fluffed with a toothbrush. The fleece pieces are assembled as usual.

"Hoppy Easter" from Celebrate With Flourish by Cricut was cut at 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches from yellow, green and pink cardstock.
The images and sentiment were attached with foam tape to add dimension. A flower gem was added to the bottom front, and fushia and clear gems were added around the scalloped ovals.

I love how the mixture of techniques turned out. Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Lamb

Today I am sharing an Easter cross that was made with the pattern, "CK Easter Lamb" which can be found here:
http://kadoodlebugdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=24&products_id=1069

MATERIALS

13 inch tinsel cross (I got mine from Dollar Tree)
Fleece in white and gray
Glitter cardstock in pink, blue, purple, yellow and green
Cardstock in white and  black
Paper flowers in pink, purple and blue
Ink pads in black and gray
Chalk in white and pink
Fine tip black pen, white gel pen
Glue gun, liquid glue

I sized the sash so it had a 3 inch opening at the top to accommodate the cross, and sized the moon to 6 3/4 inches. The rest of the pieces were sized together so the lamb is 7 1/2 inches tall. After the lamb pieces were cut out, I traced them upside down on the fleece being careful that the fuzzy side of the fleece would face up when I put the lamb together. I cut out the fleece pieces and glued them to their corresponding paper pieces using plenty of liquid glue. When they were dry, I fluffed the pieces with a toothbrush, then inked the edges. I assembled the lamb on the base layer which had been trimmed so it only included the lamb, flowers and grass. When finished, I chalked the eyes and cheeks and put white highlights in the eyes and on the nose. Using the fine tip black pen, I gave her some eyelashes.

While the lamb was drying, I attached the sash to the cross using a glue gun. I traced the moon onto cardboard, cut it out, and glued it to the moon, then glued this reinforced moon behind the cross as shown.

Using the glue gun, I attached the lamb to the left side of the cross so he is hugging the cross. I added extra paper flowers along the bottom.
Try this fun project! It looks really great in person!

Happy Easter!

Strawberry Fields Mouse Shape Card

Today I am sharing a cute little shape card made with the KaDoodleBug Designs file, " CK Strawberry Fields Mouse" which can be found here:  http://kadoodlebugdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=60&products_id=1068

The card measures 4 1/4 by 7 inches. The shape card is made by first sizing the mouse to 4 1/4 inches tall, then welding the base layer to a 4 by 4 1/4 inch rectangle. Then duplicate the resulting piece, flip it and weld the two pieces together at the top. Finally, add a score line down the middle. I added small yellow gems to the strawberry for seeds and a large gem to the flower. The sentiment is a printable from cricut and is 2 5/8 inches tall.

Highland Mitzy Shadow Box

Hi! Today is New Release Day at Digital Delights. I made a lighted shadow box using Highland Mitzy, Scotland Background Set and Around the World Papers from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

Materials

Digital Delights digi files:
  1.   Highland Mitzy         http://digitaldelightsbyloubyloo.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_21&products_id=2623
  2. Around the World Papers  http://digitaldelightsbyloubyloo.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=103_110&products_id=2627
   3. Scotland Background Set http://digitaldelightsbyloubyloo.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_21&products_id=2632

Santa Paperscapes Box by Dreaming Tree 3 d svg's
Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir cardstock
Cardstock: green plaid, pine tree, cloud, plain white, plain green
Foam tape/pop dots, double stick tape, glue

I started my project by uploading the Digital Delights images and papers into Design Space. Using the print then cut feature, I printed out and cut Highland Mitzy, the castle and the dog on Crafters Companion cardstock. Highland Mitzy is 4 1/4 inches tall, the castle is 4 inches tall and the dog is 2 inches tall. I printed the word, "Scotland" at 3 5/8 by 1 1/8 inches. Using a grass pattern from Cricut and the auto fill feature, I sized it to the same width as the back layer, and printed out the flower layer.

I assembled the basic shadow box according to the directions. (Of the given layers I used only their back layer with the trees.) The finished box measures 11 inches tall by 6 1/2 inches wide by 1 7/8 inches deep. I attached the colored castle to this layer using foam tape. The next layer is the printed flower layer. I attached the finished Highland Mitzy to this layer using foam tape. This layer was attached to the box mid way between the front of the box and the back layer. The Scottie dog was attached to the front of the box. A light can be added through the opening in the back of the box.
