Apple Picking Time

It's that time of year - Apple Picking Time!

I made two Apple Boxes and an Apple Shape Card using the My Scrap Chick files, Sliced Apple Card which is the current Freebie, and Back to School Project Bundle for the Apple Boxes.

Sliced Apple Card                                                                                              Back To School Project Bundle

For the Sliced Apple Card I used a tan leaf patterned cardstock from my stash for the base. The plaid cardstock is from the Jen Hadfield Home-made Collection, The off-white is from Stampin Up and the other cardstock is from Recollections. I added a red twine bow to the top.

This box was made with the same supplies, except I made the box using red tagboard so it would be stronger.

The above box also uses all the same supplies plus a red print from Beach House by COLORBOK.

This set would be great for Back to School gifts for the kid's teachers.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Look on the Bright Side

Hi! Today I am sharing a card I made by combining two files from My Scrap Chick, Bright Side Easel Card and "Umbrella Boat" from  Rainy Day Fun Digi Stamps.

I loaded the digi stamp into Design Space and sized it along with the card. I also made an extra cloud and a second mat for the base. The card was put together using glue and foam tape between the layers.
I colored the digi stamp with Prismacolor pencils, mounted it on a sturdy piece of cardstock, then fussy cut around it. I added a blue wave from Cricut to the bottom. The image was then added to the card base using a 1 inch by 5 inch strip of sturdy cardstock. I folded the strip at each inch line then glued the first section to the fifth to make a square. I then glued the square to the back of the "Umbrella Boat" as shown.

This was all glued to the main card as shown.

I added the sentiment to the second cloud then added it with foam tape to the left side. A double mat, a bit of ribbon and some buttons were added to the card base to finish the card.

The whole card can be folded flat for mailing.

I hope you liked my card and thanks for stopping by.
Have a great day!

Hi! Today I am sharing a card I made using one of my favorite My Scrap Chick files, "Blooming Layers Easel Card." You can find it here:   https://www.myscrapchick.com//product.cfm?product=1929

The prints I used for the flower are from the Samantha Rose Stack by DCWV. The solid cardstock I used was from Recollections. I used foam tape between the layers to give the flower dimension.

The leaf sprigs are from the Apple Blossom file that was a freebie a while back. You can find it here:

I added some pre-made paper flowers, a pre-made butterfly, a sentiment I created in Design Space and I was finished. It makes for an easy, beautiful card.

Check back tomorrow to see what else I add to this card to make it even more special.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
