Miss Lilly Silly

Sometimes we just have to be a little silly.

Today I made a card using Miss Lilly Silly from Little Blue Button Stamps. I created the card is Design Space.

Start with a 12 by 5 inch piece of cardstock. Mark the top and bottom of the long sides at 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 inches. Connect the top 2 inch and 10 inch points to the bottom center point. Then connect the bottom two inch and 10 inch points to the top center point. Connect the top and bottom two inch points and the top and bottom 10 inch points.

Fold the card to look like this from the back.

The sentiment says, "I'm not WEIRD, I'm a limited edition." I added pink flower gems in the corners of the sentiment mats.

I added the image to the white decorative  background circle and colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils. A pink decorative frame was added and the whole thing was attached to the center section of the card.

I added apple blossoms from the "Apple Blossom" file from My Scrap Chick to the top left side of the frame. I shaped them slightly with my fingers and added a green gem to the center of each flower.

Valentines Day Puffy Heart Box

I fell in love with this Puffy Heart Candy Box  from My Scrap Chick and knew I needed to make one for my granddaughter.

Here are the files I used.

I used cardstock from "Uptown Flair Glitter Stack" by the paper studio  for my box.   I decided to make a double bow for my box. I simply stacked a smaller bow on top of a larger one.

I decided to put a cute Cupid's Cloud image on the back of my box. I started by duplicating the heart mat and making it slightly smaller, then attached the image to it.
I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added accents with gel pens and a glitter pen.

This is how the finished box looks from the side.

This was such a fun, easy project, and I love how it turned out!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I'd Rather Be Fishing

Hi! After all the cold weather, I am really looking forward to camping and fishing. I made this card using an older Teddy Bo stamp.

I stamped the image, scanned it, sized it to 4.5 inches and printed it out in brown on 4 by 5.5 inch cardstock so I would get a no line effect. I colored the image using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added accents with gel pens. The background is light blue chalk and light blue dots.

The card is large at 5.5 by 8 inches. The base is an old olive cardstock from Stampin Up. The light colored hook patterned paper mat is "Hooked" by Match 'em Ups" and is cut at 5 by 7.75 inches.
The smaller fish print mat is "Green Fish Texture" by Karen Foster, and is 4.5 by 6 inches. The image was added to this mat so it was centered at the top and on both sides, There will be a 1.5 inch strip of the fish print showing below the image. Then center this mat on the larger mat. All the layers are then centered on the card base.

A strip of Fishing themed ribbon was wrapped around a 1 inch by 5.5 inch strip and then added 5/8 inch up from the bottom of the card. Finally, I added a bucket of fish from Jolees and a fishing pole from K and Company .

Knitting Anna

Hi! Today is New Release Day at Little Blue Button Stamps and my card uses the adorable image, "Knitting Anna."

I started with a 5 by 6 inch base card made from a striped pattern from the Confetti Stack from DCWV.  The image was printed at 3.75 by 4.75 inches and the mat is 4 by 5 inches.  The image was colored with Prismacolor Pencils to resemble my granddaughters' kitties. I cut a 5 inch by .75 inch triangle from the open bottom section of the card. I used the same shape to cut a triangular notch from the bottom of the image and the light yellow mat. Small holes were punched .5 inch down and .25 inch in on each side of the front of the card. Punch holes were also made at 3/8 inch down and 1/4 inch in on the matted image.  I mounted the image 1/8 inch down from the top fold  and centered at the sides, then light yellow thread is threaded through the holes and tied in the middle.

Finally, I made two 1.5 by 2 inch knitting balls and needles using an image from Cricut. These were added near the bottom on each side.

I love this sweet image with Anna and her two furry "helpers."
