Pumpkin Scarecrow Bendi card

Today is my day to post on the Digital Delights by Louby Loo blog. I decided to make a little bendi card for the approaching Fall season.

I used the adorable "Pumpkin and Scarecrow Set" found here:
http://digitaldelightsbyloubyloo.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=63&products_id=2217

CARD RECIPE

All DD Stamps Used: Pumpkin & Scarecrow Set, Fall Dog

Cardstock/Papers: DD Simply Fall Digital Papers, checked paper from DCWV

Markers: Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers

Accs.: string, foam tape, adhesive

Technique: The bendi card pattern is a free file available from the Facebook group, Cricut Lovers Guide to Design Space. The finished card measures 6 1/4 by 5 inches. The background mat is made using the pumpkin print from "Simply Fall Digital Papers" from Digital Delights and is 6 1/8 by 4 7/8 inches. The front layers were made from cardstock by DCWV.

View from above

The images were printed on Spectrum Noir Cardstock by Crafter's Companion. The fence is 5 1/4 inches long, the scarecrow is 4 1/2 inches tall, the boy is 3 inches tall, the sign is 3 1/4 inches long and the dog is 1 3/4 inches tall. Using a needle and thrad, I attached the sign to the scarecrow. (I also used foam tape to attach it to the scarecrow. The scarecrow and boy were attached to the front panel with foam tape. the dog was attached to the left side of the second layer with foam tape, and the fence was attached with glue to the top of the second layer.

Pumpkin Pickin Double Z Card

Fall is in the air!

Today I am sharing a double Z card using the KaDoodleBug Designs files, "Pumpkin Pickin" and "At the Pumpkin Patch" (for the pumpkin pile.)

Pumpkin Pickin'

At The Pumpkin Patch

The prints used on my card are from DCWV. Solids are from Recollections. The tractor and wagon are each 3 inches long. The title is 4 1/4 inches long. I mad an extra bear to peek out from behind the pumpkin pile. I used the pile of pumpkins from the second file and also made extra pumpkins.

It MOOSE Be Autumn

KaDoodleBug Designs Sneak Peek

KaDoodleBug Designs is having a sneak peek of new files to be released tomorrow. For my single page layout I used "CK Autumn Moose" and "Fall Borders."

I combined the two files to make the border at the bottom of the page. This is how I positioned the two files before I welded them together in design space. I made the border about 8 inches long.

I used the pumpkin border to create a 4 inch accent for the 4 x 6 inch photo mat. This mat was then mounted on an additional 5 x 7 mat. The smaller double mat is 3 x 4 1/2 inches.

The extra words for the title are made using "Pooh" from Cricut.

Most of the prints for my layout are from DCWV and the plain cardstock is from Recollections.

Be sure to check out all the new files at www.kadoodlebugdesigns.com

Spidey Peggy Legz

Today is New Release Day at Digital Delights by Louby Lou. My shaker card uses the adorable file, "Spidey  Peggy Legz Set."

CARD RECIPE

All DD Stamps Used: Spidey Peggy Legz Set

Cardstock/ Papers: Image printed on Spectrum Noir cardstock by Crafter's Companion, Glitter cardstock by core'dinations, printed cardstock by Heidi Grace Designs

Markers: Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen, Wink of Stella, White Gelly Roll pen

Accessories/ Embellishments: acetate, various gems & confetti, foam tape

Special Technique: None

The card base was made using "Web Card Cover" from Bird's Cards. Using  the contour feature in design space I made a solid shape the same size as the web cover. I duplicated this shape, lined the two shapes up side by side and welded them together for the card base. The actual card cover was cut from black glitter cardstock.

The shaker element was made using a 2 1/2 inch by 4 1/2 inch rectangle and a corresponding frame. Thin pieces of foam tape were attached all the way around the back of the frame. Attach the frame to it's back on three sides leaving the top open. Add your confetti, then seal the top.

Spidey Peggy Legz was printed 4 1/4 inches tall and the sentiment is 1 x 2 inches. They are both attached to the card with foam tape. Two small black gems were added to the title.

Lou Lou Sew Crafty

Hi! Today is my day to share on the KaDoodle Bug Designs blog, so I decided to use the adorable "DS Lou Lou Sew Crafty" file. I am really loving the new digital images by Whimsical Inklings!

DS Lou Lou Sew Crafty

My sister is an avid sewer and quilter so I decided to make some projects for her. The "DS Lou Lou Sew Crafty" images were the perfect accents for my projects.

Materials

DS Lou Lou Sew Crafty from KaDoodleBug Designs
Parlor Patchwork from SVG Attic
Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
Spectrum Noir cardstock from Crafter's Companion
Pixey Stix paper pack from The Paper Studio
Pearlescent cardstock from Recollections
Glitter cardstock from Core'dination
ribbon
1 inch and 7/8 inch button
adhesive, foam tape

The svg for the sewing machine and cards is Parlor Patchwork from SVG Attic.  I must say that working with the sewing machine pattern in design space was very difficult, so I wouldn't recommend it to a novice. The tutorial from their site for it's assembly was very good though. The sewing machine was made 7 1/2 by 7 inches (excluding the spool holder). The digital image is 3 1/4 inches tall. I love how this sewing machine turned out!

The thimble card was very easy to put together. I used a combination of glitter cardstock and pearlescent cardstock for the top layer. This card is 6 1/4 inches tall and the digital image is 4 1/2 inches tall. I used a scrap of ribbon to tie the layers together.

The tri-fold card was a quick, easy project. It measures 4 1/4 by 5 1/4 inches. The digital image is 3 3/4 inches tall.

I printed my images on Spectrum Noir Cardstock by Crafters Companion. The images range in size from 3 1/4 inches to 4 1/2 inches. I used my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers to color all the images.
