Miss Lilly Bunny Easter Easel Card

Today I am on the Little Blue Button Stamps Blog with an Easter easel card using the sweet image, Miss Lilly Bunny

The card base is a cut file from Digital Delights by Looby Loo.  You can make a similar easel card base by taking a seven inch egg shape, adding a 6.25 inch oval on top. Make a fold line at 2 inches and 3.5 inches. Fold forward on these fold lines as shown below. A 5 inch half circle and a 4.5 inch half circle were added to the front.

I used Cricut Design Space to attach the image to a 4 inch oval. I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils, then mounted the colored image on a 4.75 inch scalloped oval.

I added a 2 inch sentiment, also from Digital Delights, that was added to a 2.5 inch scalloped oval. Both ovals were accented with clear gems. Finally the card was accented with eight pink paper flowers.

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Easter!

Honeycomb Card

Hi! Today I am sharing a little card made with the Honeycomb Bee Card Bundle and Bee Greetings Printable PDF from My Scrap Chick.

I also used Relax Barnaby from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

My card is 5 by 7 inches and was made in Design Space. I used cardstock from the Confetti Stack by DCWV for the card base, white, light yellow and dark brown cardstock by Recollections for the mats. Using Design Space,  I attached the "Relax Barnaby" image to the honeycomb layer of the card. I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils, then put together the layers of my card. I added small orange flower gems around the oval, and a yellow and brown ribbon bow to the bottom left. I printed the "Bee Greetings," cut out the greeting I wanted, and mounted it on brown, then the printed cardstock. I accented the sentiment with Prismacolor pencils and two flower gems, then mounted it to the top right of the image using foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by. Happy crafting!

Snowman Easel Match Box

Hi! Today I am sharing a cute snowman easel match box. I created this project by combining two files from My Scrap Chick, Snowman's Friend Easel Card and Sweet Nugget Matchboxes.

Snowman's Friend Easel Card: click to enlargeSweet Nugget Matchboxes: click to enlarge

Keeping all the pieces grouped together, I started by making the easel card so it is six inches wide. I made the snowman using glitter cardstock from Coredinations. The rest of the card was made using papers from my stash. I attached the nose, hat brim and arm with foam tape to give the snowman dimension.  A snowflake and blue gem embellishment was added to the hat band. The sentiment was accented with snowflakes and also attached with foam tape. (My sentiment came from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.)

For the drawers I kept the file grouped together, then sized it so the box measured three inches across. I made two of these out of tagboard so they were sturdier. I glued the two boxes together, side by side, then wrapped them in a coordinating piece of heavy cardstock. The easel card was then attached on top of the two boxes.

I used my snowman box to gift some tea to a tea loving friend, but it would be great for any small treasures. I love how it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by. I'd love to hear what you think.

Reindeer Ride Saffi Shaker Card

Today I am sharing a shaker card made with Reindeer Ride Saffi from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

CARD RECIPE

Papers & Cardstock: Glitter and aqua cardstock by Recollections, glossy purple cardstock by Colorbok

Markers used: Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, sky - Prismacolor pencils

Special Technique: The base of my card was made with a file from Bird's Cards. The opening was originally an oval but I used Design Space to stretch it into a circle. I then made a base layer by slicing a circle into the coordinating spot. The card was sliced again so it is 5 bt 6 inches. I used a Fuse tool and various seed beads to make the shaker element. After the layers were assembled,  I added two plastic snowflakes that I had in my stash. Saffi was added with foam tape.

Teddy Zipperz Rocker Card

Hi! Today I am on the Digital Delights by Louby Loo blog sharing how I made this cute little Halloween rocker card.

CARD RECIPE

All DD files used:Teddy ZipperzGhoulish Sentiment Set, and Rocker Card SVG cut file.

Ghoulish sentiments set
Rocker Card SVG Cut file  Teddy Zipperz
Papers & Cardstock: "Spooky Delight Stack" by DCWV, "Glitter Paper" by COLORBOK

Coloring Medium: Prismacolor Pencils

Acc./Embellishments: 4 small black rhinestones, foam tape, glue runner , glue

Technique:

I made my rocker card over-sized with the base 7 inches in diameter. I made the wavy trim slightly smaller. I folded the card base and wavy circle in half, centered the wavy piece over the base and glued them together.

The circle mat and decorative mat were enlarged to 5 inches. (I used a Halloween mat, but the included mat will work just as well.)
The white decorative circle was glued on top of the black circle. Since it's hard to glue together glitter cardstock, I used glue runner and lots of glue, then paper clipped the layers together until they dried.

Once dry, I centered this piece over the curved area of the base, centering it from behind, as shown.

The image is 3 1/2 inches tall and was colored with Prismacolor markers. The image was attached with foam tape. The color palette can be found here.

Prismacolor Pencil Palette

Bear: 937 Tuscan Red, 1031 Henna, 943 Burnt Ochre, 1034 Goldenrod
Patch: 946 dark Brown, 1082 Chocolate
Inner Ear: 929 Pink, 994 Process Red
Mouth/ Stomach: 1067 Cool Grey 90%,  1063 50%, 1060 20%
Cloak: 1030 Raspberry, 925 Crimson Lake, 924 Crimson Red, 1078 Black Cherry
Accents with a gold gel pen and yellow Wink of Stella

The sentiment is 1 by 2 3/8 inches and is double matted with orange and black glitter paper, and is attached with foam tape to the bottom of the card base.

I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial. Happy crafting!
