Bunnies in the Carrot Patch

Bunnies got into the Carrot Patch!

This cute little centerpiece would be perfect for any Spring/Summer event. I used the Carrot Patch Box for most of my project, and the tired bunny from Chubby Bunnies for face, ears and paws of the bunnies.

MATERIALS

Pink dotted cardstock from "Watercolor Ombre" by DCWV
Antique tan cardstock from Basic Grey
Colored cardstock by Recollections
Orange dot cardstock from my stash
Orange 1/4 inch ribbon
Wood Grain embossing folder from Cuddlebug
Small white pom poms
Adhesive, foam tape
Small amount of self stick Velcro
Exacto knife

I used the carrot pattern to make the bunny bodies from the pink dotted cardstock. The facial features, ears and paws are from the tired bunny from the Chubby Bunnies file. I placed the ears up instead of down, and also made the eyes larger. The muzzle was attached with foam tape to add some dimension.

A 1/4 inch piece of self stick Velcro was used as a closure behind the ears.

The little carrots were made at 2 1/2 inches using the carrot pattern. Each bunny got a carrot, one was put outside the fence, and two were put between the bunnies inside the fence. I used an exacto knife to make a small X for each carrot inside the fence.

I used small pom poms to give the bunnies little tails. ( A larger pom pom would probably have worked better, but I used what I had.)

The fence was made using the Basic Grey cardstock. The pickets were embossed using the Wood Grain Cuddlebug folder. I used my Cricut Explore to write the message on the sign.

I hope you liked my Bunnies in the Carrot Patch. I had so much fun making it.  If you liked it I'd love to hear from you!

HAPPY EASTER

  1. this is adorable! I can't find the Chubbie Bunnies file though. Your link just goes to the MSC site and when I type Cubbie Bunnies in the search box, it says it doesn't exist. Is it a retired file?

  3. Unable to find the bunny file. I know it is a tired bunny but I got tired looking for it. When you click on the file it takes you to Easter files and there are multiple pages there. I skimmed through but did not find anything like what you used. Hwlp please.
